Aaron Joy, a fifth-grader at the Nysmith School, explains his science fair project on bio-plastics to U.S. Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-11), who was also an event speaker. During his remarks, Connolly praised Fairfax County in particular for its investment in education, but cautioned that “other countries have caught up to us, we need to continue and advance our investment in STEM, in research and development and in improving our infrastructure.”
