The public is invited to the Candidate Forum for the 11th Congressional District. It’s set for Sunday, Sept. 16, from 2-4 p.m., at the Sherwood Community Center, 3740 Old Lee Hwy. in Fairfax. The three candidates featured are U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D, incumbent); Jeff Dove (R) and Stevan Porter (L). The nonpartisan League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area is hosting this event.
