Reflection Dental – Little River to Host Free Dentistry Day July 22
Area residents will have the opportunity to receive free dental services at Reflection Dental – Little River on Friday, July 22.
Dr. Magarette Weatherwax, Dr. Qais Musmar and team at Reflection Dental – Little River will be improving the oral health of the community as part of Free Dentistry Day, a day dedicated to providing free dental care to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance. A choice of a free cleaning, filling or extraction will be provided per patient between 7 a.m. and 12 at 6546 Little River Turnpike in Alexandria. Woodson High Student Receives Whitetail Resort Scholarship
John Merrill of Woodson High School is one of the 8 high school students who received Whitetail Resort scholarship. The resort has chosen eleven outstanding candidates to receive the 14th Annual Whitetail Resort Employee Scholarships, promoting higher education. Ten candidates received scholarships of $500 each, and one candidate received the Sixth Annual Whitetail Resort - Oscar Weller Memorial Employee Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
Recipients are students who were employees in good standing for the 2015-2016 season at Whitetail Resort. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, and Whitetail’s own STEEP values which stand for Safety, Teamwork, Efficiency, Enthusiasm, and Professionalism. Each applicant must also maintain an appropriate grade point level, participate in extracurricular activities, and provide adequate references.
